Dog fixed (hopefully) and dryer fixed

Night two came and went with no dog puking. Yay!

Our dryer parts came yesterday and DH got that fixed.Yay! We replaced the idler pulley (whatever that is) and the drum rollers, so $44 total, including shipping.  Plus we totally cleaned out the inside of the dryer, once he had it all apart. It's a wonder it was even running, with all the dust that accumulates. Plus the vent section that goes vents to the screen thing you pull out....it was totally clogged with a bunch of lint. It looks like it was from DH's really old Carhartt jacket that pretty much fell apart when he tried to wash and dry it awhile back.

The tape and texture guy still hasn't shown up. No surprise. He was huge part of why our shop build got delayed. Hopefully he'll be ready to start on Monday.

My mom is so funny. I just tried to call her and she wants to call me back in 15 minutes. She's listening to something on her computer that her BF sent her.  Um...you know you can pause it, right? No, I didn't say that to her! I just said, sure call me back. haha.

Another non-eventful day on tap.

  1. You probably just added another 10 years to your dryer. Good deal on the inexpensive repair! I hope your tape/texture guy doesn't keep delaying things for you. So annoying! That is funny about your mom. Made me think of my dad when it he got his first cell phone. He would always tell me that it takes time to figure these types of things out. Sure...at that point it had been well over a year. He never did quite figure it out. Technology and seniors. Lol

    1. I was thinking the same thing about the dryer. The taper guy called and said he'll bring out his supplies Monday afternoon and get started Tuesday. My mom still has her old flip phone. She keeps saying she should get a smart phone and we keep saying no. Haha. She'd never figure it out

    2. No...don't let her get one! It would be a disaster! lol

I've been meaning to ask. Have you ever watched Living Big Sky-I think that's what it is called. I've watched several episodes while taking care of the kiddo. Beautiful state, but also a lot of very expensive homes! Interestingly, we had a "Log Cabin Living" episode filmed where we live. One of the homes shown was actually one we had considered.

    3. I haven't heard of that show. I'll have to see if I can find it to watch

  2. That is a nice cheap fix for your dryer. Now that you mentioned it, I need to vacuum the lint trap innards!

    1. it's amazing all the lint and dust that's inside the whole dryer, around the drum and all the parts.

  3. Aah, bless your mom! I suppose we will all be "dotty" as we get older won't we (well my kids think I am already). When my sister married a Dane and was packing to move to Denmark, my mom told her to buy a TV in England to take with her. When my sister asked why mom said "well then you'll still be able to get TV in English"!
