Boot bench love
The mudroom (monster) boot bench is done.
One more project done. I still want a bookcase made, but it won't be out of this kind of wood. We have used that wood up. I have a feeling that won't get made until after we get the house built. He just really doesn't have enough room to make stuff here and then he gets a bit frustrated, trying to work in a very small space he can barely turn around in.

ReplyDeleteThanks! It looks good and keeps shoes and boots out of the way. I like how he made the spot for the boot/shoe dryer - it was sitting on top of our hot water heater LOL

DeleteHe does a very nice job. My dh is building my son a guitar case for Christmas. It will take him till then to get it done.

ReplyDeleteIt's very heavy and sturdy, that's for sure. He has trouble bending over to put on shoes, so being able to sit there will be nice for him.

ReplyDeleteWe never had the space at our old house and I'm glad it worked out that this house has it, so he could build it now (and have something to do - Ha!)

ReplyDeleteThat looks like it will last forever. After a certain age, sitting for changing shoes is necessary. He did a good job. I have never heard of a boot/shoe dryer. I place my shoes in front of the refrigerator.
ReplyDeletethat's a great idea in front of refrigerator! We have had this boot dyer for years. When he worked construction it got a lot of use drying his work boots when he got home at night and have them dried out by morning.
