Well so much for that!

Well, within hours of President Obama announcing we could now keep our 2013 plans (for 2014) my state's insurance commissioner has already announced he will NOT be allowing the insurance companies to offer the same plans. So, so much for Obama's change to "help" American's like me out. Amazing! What a screwed up mess this country is in!

  1. Our state decided to let everyone keep their old plans way before Obama came up with the same idea and whether he liked it or not :) But I agree with your last statement...

  2. My husband's company already signed a contract with another company. Good riddance. I was beginning to dislike United Healthcare very much anyway. It is good for a lot of other people I know who were in the lurch.

I agree with your last statement though!

    1. I have United Healthcare too, through my company. I'm not a huge fan. Their prescription coverage is lacking. There are a lot of medications they won't cover. I keep hoping we'll get different insurance every time our renewal comes up. We're stuck with it again, at least until next August.

  3. it's an elected office. I've been watching to local news to see if a big fuss is being raised - not seeing much on it. I posted a disagree comment on the State Insurance Commissioner's office facebook page. A handful of others did the same, but not much backlash over it, that I can tell. From what I initially heard on the news about 300,000 in my state got cancellation letters.
