Still dealing with the eye struggles. A spot of pain last night again. Thankfully it did not last long at all, but of course this morning wake up and it's back to blurry, as obviously the spot that sloughed off again is over my vision. I need to work, so I've got my screens as large as possible and half the time this morning sitting here reading or responding to emails with one eye open. I'm just going to take a break every hour or so. I'm sure as the day goes on and it heals up (again) the vision will get better.
When I was seeing the specialist yesterday he first put a drop of the numbing drop in and then joked "and you can't take these drops with you". I laughed and said they sure would be nice to have at night. He said all the patients want them but actually they aren't good to put in your eye on a regular basis, just once in awhile is ok, he said. Darn!
We got quite a bit of snow yesterday that actually stuck as the temps cooled down. We have now had some snow every month since last September, LOL.
I still need to try and submit my first 2 eye dr appointments to my health insurance. They don't bill out, though the specialist does, so at least I don't have to do that one or pay up front on it. I just haven't felt like doing all the online reading to figure out how to submit it. I've been pretty much making work my priority for any computer time. I did get on last night (while vision was still doing well) and get our census submitted, which didn't take long at all.
I was going to list my old tv stand/cabinet on Marketplace once spring arrived and the weather/roads got better (figured better chance to sell it) but with everyone having to stay home, I guess I'll have to wait on that.
I got a Walmart order delivered yesterday and was able to stock up a little on a few things. I often have a hard time finding the tea packets DH likes in the stores, so I usually order online, with no issues, but now they are even hard to find online. We found 2 boxes left at the store last grocery trip. Anyhow, I found 12 boxes pack through Walmart. I got an 8 can pack of tomato soup (also cleared out in stores when I have been shopping) and 2 boxes of the Carnation instant breakfast I like for breakfast. Last night we had tomato soup and mac and cheese for dinner, along with some watermelon. I feel better that at least I now have several cans of it in my pantry. I also have a few cans of chicken noodle, pot roast soup, and clam chowder. Now I just need to find TP, haha
I logged into Walmart again and they had some Great Value TP available for delivery. Two different sized cases. I added the larger size case. As I was trying to add other items to my cart to get to free shipping, it already got sold out. I then added the other size, which said only 2 left, and before I could get my cart up to $35, it was gone. Darn. Well, I'm now going to have my cart full with $35 and keep refreshing/checking back and if/when they get back on there, I'll be ready! They will still probably end up getting cancelled from the order, but I'm going to try.
According to others I know, several Walmarts have tp and people are not snatching them off the shelves like they were two weeks ago. Too bad you cannot have the pain med for the eye for night!
ReplyDeletesince we live 55 miles from nearest Walmart it's very hard to keep checking the store (or any store) physically. I'll keep refreshing the walmart screen and hopefully they will have more in stock soon. I wish I could get the pain drops too! though I am glad that now the pain I'm having isn't lasting too long, like it was before.
DeleteMy daughter saw packs last week when she was there, so grabbed me one. I should be set for many weeks so feel like even if available, I will leave for others. I'm so sorry for your eye pain.
ReplyDeletethat's good she was able to get you some. We had quite a few weeks supply, which is why we haven't bought any in the past month, but also don't want to get down to the point where we run out and can't find any!
DeleteJust wondering, would you be able to use an eye patch while it's healing so your not putting a strain on that eye?
ReplyDeleteNeither the optometrist nor the corneal specialist brought up that I should do that, so I'm thinking it must not matter much. The more I can blink my eye and not have it dried out, the better it is. It's when it's closed for lengthy periods, while sleeping, that is has problems.
